It is with great pleasure that I recommend Lonnie Coppock to teach aquatic classes! Lonnie has taught the members, children and grandchildren of Pinnacle Peak Country Club swim technique lessons for several years. She offers her lessons to students of all ages, skill levels and abilities. She has always taught swimming skills in a logical sequence, interacts with everyone, and maintains a safe class atmosphere.
Her most impressive attribute is her enthusiasm and positive attitude! I am extremely impressed with her patience and ability with children and her power to keep their attention. Lonnie has a style that is very creative and original.
From a personal standpoint, she has taught my grandson how to swim. In a short period of time, he evolved from a real fear of the water to jumping off the side of the pool. She truly is an Angel in the water! Lonnie has become a very good friend of my grandson over time, and he would trust no one else but his dear friend Lonnie to help him improve on his skill levels!
I wholeheartedly recommend Lonnie to everyone I know who not only needs to learn how to swim but also needs to improve upon their skills!

My son and another boy took swimming lessons together with Miss Lonnie for 2 summers. At the end of this past summer, both boys were very confident in the water and learned not only the skills to be a better swimmer but also learned about pool safety. Lonnie, We just wanted to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you did for Sean this summer in Gymsters Swim! I can’t tell you what an amazing difference there has been in his skill in just the eight weeks of lessons this year. He picked up right where you left off with him last year and continued to make such progress. Now that we have our own pool in our backyard, he has a love and passion for the water to the point where we can hardly get him out of it!
I can’t thank you enough for making the classes so fun that you instilled this excitement in him. Your techniques were so useful for Paul and I to follow-up on in between lessons. We LOVE Gymsters Swim because of Ms. Lonnie! We like that the swim lessons are at our house so the children are able to get comfortable in their own pool. Ms. Lonnie is very patient and kind with my children. She teaches them swim safety and does it in such a fun way that the kids love taking swimming lessons with her!

Elliot 6th grade
Our son Elliot has had swimming lessons with Lonnie for the last five years. Our family came to know Lonnie through a friend who hosted a group lesson in her home.
We were very pleased with the level of preparation that Lonnie brought to every lesson as well as the content of instruction. Lonnie’s lessons build upon one another so that the instruction affords time to perfect parts of the stroke (arm movement, for instance) as well as time to combine concepts into the flowing motion that is “swimming”.
Lonnie is always able to convey her lessons with kid friendly terms such as “use the thumb crayon” or the “fish fingers”. Lonnie has never once been late for a lesson and keeps the lesson moving with a soldier’s precision. Elliot always feels accomplished when he has finished a swim lesson.
We like Lonnie because she is so warm and encouraging. Lonnie takes great pride in her work and it shows. Lonnie is very special to our family and we would never consider another swim instructor. This summer will mark Elliot’s sixth year of instruction with Lonnie.
